After a short time…Spread the Love
Hey, so I’m back and its been awhile. I was recently at the Jersey Shore, OC to be exact with my family. It was such a pleasure to get away from NYC and relax. Thus, I left all technological tools at home…except my Palm Treo. Gotta have at least one.
Anyways, I rode ferris wheels, babysat, made sand castles, won at mini golf, ate Mack and Manco Pizzo, walked the Boards, skimboarded, tanned and all that good stuff. Even went to AC and won a whopping $60 on the slots. Needless to say I didn’t get shat on by seagulls, always a fun time.
So Five to Six, is almost in full swing, check them out www.myspace.com/fivetosix . Some pretty sweet photos of myself, playing Ernie, as well as the rest of the cast. We will be shooting in October up in the Boogie Down Bronx.
Meanwhile, I have 3 more days of shooting for my feature, 2 Star State of Mind, the cast is really strong and our DP, Jesse James Malings, has done numerous films as the sound engineer. It’s turning out great. Lindsey Felton is my costar, as well as a great upcoming actress, Amy Highfill and other wonderful actors, Chris Kerson, who is extremely fun to work with.
This Friday I am flying to Austin/San Antonio, Texas to shoot a short film, ‘Intervention’ written by Michael Lange. I am stoked to be working with my close friend again. While down there I will be revisiting all of my old hangouts from when I lived there. Amy’s sister is getting married and the rehearsal dinner is at the best BBQ in the NATION, Salt Lick. What a surprise and exciting piece of news that was.
In the past couple of weeks, I have watched some pretty interesting movies: Machinist, Bottle Rocket, The Queen, Thank you for Smoking, The Holiday and a few more. It’s great to see a variety of films and educate myself on them. Bottle Rocket was the one I was most interested in an independent film way. I also watched Team Picture, by Kentucker Audley at the IFC (www.myspace.com/teampicture). That was a very indie yet compelling film about quitting your job. Something I often pondered in the past. We met afterwards and spoke a little bit, I am going to keep in touch with him and possibly collaborate in the future.
In addition, I have been training at UCB and auditioned for The Daily News correspondent online. I am waiting to hear back. Auditions have been on the back burner while I create my characters and work on these projects at hand. Speaking of hands, I got to hand it to, Federer from the US Open. I went 2 weeks ago to Flushing to watch them all play in the preliminary rounds and they are amazing. I used to play tennis and love to watch it live, it was a blast and I recommend to everyone.
Well, enough babbling for now… I just need to stay in touch with society. On a day that ended so ugly 6 years ago. I urge you to contact any loved ones or friends and tell them truly how you feel, you never know what may happens. For those who are reading this, chances are we have crossed paths at one point and I am eternally grateful for all that you bring to both my life and this world. Spread the love.
