Energy all over
So this Monday I met with a friend and filmmaker to discuss collaborating on another project. Recently we worked together on a film he entered to the competition by Spielberg, ‘On the Lot’. I was the risque art dealer. Anyways, it was very nicely produced and made it past the first round.
So now we are back to make an even better film. I have been intrigued by many documentaries and living in the city of New York, every day is a doc. In the past I discussed working with the homeless, Canal Street and several other interesting parts of the city. We have decided since Dave (Johnson) is a DP and an editor, we will collaborate to produce a new project.
Our next project will be a documentary entitled, ‘Celebration of Life’ in which we highlight various parts of our lives and how they interact with each other. A huge issue these days is quantum physics and the String Theory and how energy is transferable in many mediums. We decided to highlight these aspects into our documentary in which I will host and Dave will be the cinematographer. We have decided what we want to focus on and look for a completed project by the first of March.
The final project should prove to be very rewarding and highly moving. Our creative concepts and ideas have allowed us to try to transcend to a deeper meaning of things. We hope that you will enjoy it. More soon.
In addition, today I auditioned for an NYU Senior Thesis film by Max Nova, a very talented young man with an award granted by Panavision for a 35mm short film. The film was about Shamanism and was quite compelling. Indigenous people and spirits are things I find very interesting. I love trance music and native american flute inspired songs. I auditioned for the role of the teacher who studied and taught the ways of ‘Shamanism’. It is an interesting theory and also resides around the theory of energy transferral and its ability to heal. My audition was a roller coaster ride in many directions, but I am very pleased and look forward to hearing from them soon. The shoot will be done in Colorado. I had the opportunity to try many of my acting approaches learned through the Eric Morris Technique.
The one technique I used today that really impacted me was ‘Dealing with the Demons’ and ‘The Exorcist’, which entail verbally and physically ‘OUT’ing the tensions and demons that exist within to allow for a higher creativity and spontaneity. It was quite a rewarding experience for me, I hope for them too. That is my role as an artist, so why not cherish that. Cherish the Love.
