Counting Down
So I have decided to move to LA. I have a close friend, Matt Dunn, who will be producing a play he wants me as the lead in. In addition, a few other friends are busy working on their respective projects and I will be collaborating with them.
I will be driving across the country a few days after my birthday, May 31st and filming with my camera. I recently purchased a Canon HV-20 and will be documenting my trip, as well as developing a mini-documentary to edit upon my arrival in LA.
WAVING WATCHES: Last Friday, I filmed an online video promo for Waving Watches. com a site with presidential candidates waving at you on a watch. It was the Top Ten Reasons to Purchase one and ‘Keep Democracy Ticking’. The video should be completed very soon. I’ll post when completed. Upon leaving the studio, we ran into Christian Slater and decided to give him an Obama watch to support the election and the watches. Best of both worlds.
MAKING AN HONOR CODE: This is the sketch comedy short, myself and Evan Bass will be shooting tomorrow about making an honor code in the most honest way as possible. This project came about, because Judah Friedlander showed some interest in collaborating on a project. Later he was no longer interested, but we wrote the script and are going to go ahead and complete the product. Shooting is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday May 15th. I am producing and will be playing Kenny, the pothead who is addicted to Nintendo Wii.
RENEGADE REPORTING: Another side project I am collaborating with Phil Raymond with to create an urban street reporting show is underway. I bombarded Union Square to find out all the ins and outs of New York City and some of the finer things to know. We are editing it as we speak and hope to be completed very shortly. Just a quick tidbit of what’s to come: Highlights of the craziest thing seen on NYC subways.
A BODY WITHOUT A HEAD: George Carr, the director of the play I was featured with great reviews from Theater Corps and Playbill at Manhattan Theater Source, is trying to convert into a feature film. We are going to shoot experimental footage at Wading River, Long Island and another location in NYC to edit into a small teaser for prospective creation into a film. I will once again be playing the lead, Pollo, who the entire story revolves around, when his girlfriend cheats on him with his brother, and there’s plenty more than that. Stay tuned.
GOING TO HOLLYWOOD: I also got footage from a mock-reality show pilot I did way back in the day, Anyways, long story short, my character gets chosen to go to Hollywood and I go crazy. I have that footage and will be posting shortly, via my editor, Dan Schimpf, now that I am truly ‘Going to Hollywood’.
Mailing list to come to my website soon, as my friend, Shawn Waite, a web designer is updating now. My “Commemoration of Life” video is also featured on my home page. Thanks for everything.
