East Coast to West Coast
So during the past month, I have been traveling across the continental US. It was an amazing journey on so many levels. I have since arrived in North Hollywood and am looking for a place to live. I am staying with a friend and it has been rough to get to internet.
Anyways, I started my journey at the end of May, just after my birthday. Amy and I had a going away party and journeyed all the way across the globe. Many people came to our party and signed our 1 foot round ‘Big Apple’ as a commemoration of our time there. Then we jumped into the car and stopped in my hometown, Philly for a visit with my family. It was rough to leave them and know I was going to be over 3,000 miles away from all that I know.
As hard as it was, I am on a mission to explore myself, my talent, my relationships and my inner being. I am well on my way. During my journey I listened to ‘The Secret’ and really began my visualizations, that were once taught to me as a child by my mother. I then won $30 in instant lottery tickets. Next stops were in Pittsburgh to stay at a friend, Matt’s. Then onto Chi-town to Eric and Teresa’s place. I also shot documentary footage along the way.
The interviews were very compelling and will prove to show a very intersting story. The next stop was in Springfield, MO, where Amy, my worldly one is from. We visited her family and had some good ole home cooking. Then we were off to Kansas City for a brief stop at Libby’s, her sisters and then off to Colby, KS. We stayed at a Motel 6 and my car was screeching. We had it checked and then brought it in at the next destination in Denver, freaking fan belts were sooo noisy.
In Denver, we visited a friend of Amy’s, who performs at Elitch Gardens, 6 Flags and then moved onto Colorado Springs. It is so mountainous and beautiful. The next morning we DROVE up the Pike’s Peak, 14,000 miles and our brakes got hot on the way down from too much braking. We had to stop to make sure they were cool enough to still function, scary business. It was fine though. Then we continued on to Taos, NM a quaint and beautiful area to settle. I visited the Pueblo and Amy took Hot-yoga. Next stop, Santa Fe, wow was the architecture amazing, and I loved the Native American sprititual vibes.
I bought a Carlos Nakai CD that puts me to sleep, had to turn off while driving. Oh yeah, got some sage to ward off all the bad spirits. Anyways, then we went to Alburqueque (mispelled) and continued towards Arizona. We stayed in some random ass town, in NM and there was a rodeo convention, so all the rooms were filled. We stayed in this dump, it was straight out of a movie, No Country for Old Men’esque. We made it and woke up to go to Sedona, and bought a candle from a waxologist. Then we hit Flagstaff and toured the town. The next day it was time for some Natural Wonders of the World, Grand Canyon. I love that place, we saw the IMAX and then hit the ridges for closer views. I could not find a Hopi artifact I wanted anywhere, I got one 20 years ago when I was there as a kid and wanted another one. Ebay, I guess.
So we decided to camp out in a park near the Grand Canyon, city boy, yes me, pitched a tent and got a fire going and we had a picnic dinner, fully equipped with Coors Lights. Then I saw a shooting star, that was my light of power, which follows me in support. Anyways, it was cold as ice in the desert at night and I put the tent up over a few rocks, so we slept like garbage. We got up early and headed for Vegas.
So we hit Vegas and stayed there 2 nights. We basically broke even in gambling and saw Mystere, a Cirque du Soleil show, and it rocked. We also saw Amy’s friends perform at Circus Circus, the were cool too, foot jugglers they were. 2 days later we left and arrived in North Hollywood. That is where I am right now and looking for a new place to live we are looking at Studio City or Mid-Wilshire in Hollywood. I have already enrolled in class with Ivana Chubbuck and am looking to get working ASAP. Miss you all and hope to see/hear from you soon.
