Left Coastville Auditioning
So yesterday, I auditioned for Ron LaRosa Global Talent for Disney, for the American Idol Experience in Disney World. It went very well. There were also reps from both Disneyland and Disney World. I ran into an old friend who is also studying at Ivana Chubbuck’s class. In addition, I got my MacBook and have developed a new script idea.
My latest book adaptation, has been postponed b/c the author is now selling the rights to someone else, initially we had an agreement, but nothing finalized. I learned one of many Hollywood lessons. Who knows, maybe it’ll come back around. I was trying to get a friend on board to possibly help fund, but that is not going anywhere.
Thus, I am gearing up for my Lead role in TX, about a Mexican Immigrant. The producers are attempting to book either, ‘Pedro’ from Napoleon or the other Hispanic actor from ‘Nacho Libre’. More to come, but I play a Canadian wise cracking day laborer in seek of a Mexican goddess. I have also been in contact with a few friends of friends.
I have contacted a PR rep, who may be able to assist me in the near future, we’ll see, if so, its a win win for both of us. She is quite talented at her job, as am I, so why not. Also, another rep has agreed to meet with me next week. No names now.
I just flew back from NY, where I was working with an old friend doing some production work for a few days. I wanted to get back to meet up with some old friends and work on a few projects. On the way home, I met a few interesting people and created the treatment for my next screenplay. I am planning on trying to pen it before I go to TX and possibly shoot in my down times.
Last night, I went and saw Joe Bonamassa play, he’s from my home town and I know his family. He rocked the house down, he is Stevie Ray Vaughn reincarnated, so quality. Best Blues I’ve heard in quite some time. We chilled afterwards and hung at the afterparty, good times. Tonight, I am assisting the wonderfully talented Amy Highfill in Jon Gabriel’s magician performance. I will be shooting his show with my Canon HV-20 and then possibly editing later on. I am looking forward to it, because I am a HUGE magic fan. I also love Mindfreak, David Blaine and Copperfield. Maybe I’ll get a few tricks up my sleeve…ha ha.
Today I auditioned for Clockwork Mind Productions, short film slated to be entered into Sundance, as a schizo named Matthew. It was quite a challenge to make him realistic yet truthful. I got a little carried away and hit myself in my head, there’s a little bump and a slight chip in the back of my mouth. After all was said and done, I was quite pleased with my performance. Gabrielle Schary also contacted me to audition for a Polish boy, which I am 50%, but I will be away during the shoot dates, figures.
Tomorrow, I will be meeting with an old friend, Andrew to assist him with his screenplay and also interning at Wizzard Media. In addition, I am possibly meeting up with Alison a college friend and fellow host to have coffee and talk shop. This Saturday, I will be attending a workshop to audition for Lisa Essary. Fun times. Later.
