Prepping
Well, I am going to Brownsville, TX this weekend to shoot my indie film by Javier Chapa. I am getting last minute script updates and scouring my character Nick for his life before.
In addition, I auditioned for Cathi Carlson last week for at Ocean Park Casting, that office is sweet. I love this new electronic casting system they have out here. Also, I spoke with Anthony Meindl, my friend George’s old instructor who is casting a film shortly, and we will meet up after I return.
Lauren Kelly, a friend from back East, helped me create a plan to navigate through IMDBPro and target my CD’s for my shows I want to work on, as well as future film projects. Last night, I contacted a few friends of friends about some upcoming gigs I really want to be on. I love the writing style of Steve Conrad (Pursuit of Happyness) and am trying to get in touch with him about working on his next film that Ben Stiller is already on board for. More to come.
Well, right now, its the waiting game again for copies of my films, its always a pain to receive my work and sometimes it gets frustrating, you give it your as an artist and just want to use that to continue to create opportunities. So, don’t get mad if I contact you for my work, because I feel I deserve that and it is an issue of respect. Moving on..no more griping.
I have uploaded FinalCut and FinalDraft to my new MacBook and began penning my new feature length, De Pablo and will have it completed upon my return from TX. I will also be shooting exteriors of my short film I am creating to get funding for it.
